Recent Commissions
Among her notable commissions is the much-loved statue of Ruswarp, created for the Friends of the Settle–Carlisle Line and now sited on the platform at Garsdale railway station.
JOEL has also been commissioned to create a series of British wildlife portraits to help raise awareness and funds for conservation projects. In recent years she has completed numerous private commissions and produced limited editions of large-scale portrait sculptures.
Projects have included special commissions for a new gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon, featuring a portrait of William Shakespeare, a Mute Swan in flight, and a sculpture of Lady Godiva.
Exhibitions and Awards
JOEL’s work has been exhibited overseas and throughout the UK, including London, the Eastern Counties, the North of England and the Welsh Borders.
Her seahorse study Treasure from Darkness was runner-up in a national sculpture competition. She has also received industry recognition, including a Top Twenty Best New Product award at the London Gift Fair and the prestigious Gift of the Year Award from the International Spring Fair.
Breed Societies and Special Commissions
JOEL was commissioned by the Welsh Pony and Cob Society to create centenary celebration sculptures representing all four sections: A, B, C and D.
Over the years she has produced sponsored editions and commissions for organisations including:
- Shire Horse Society
- Percheron Horse Society
- International Shetland Pony Show
- International League for the Protection of Horses
- Burmese Cat Club
Exclusive editions and trophies have also been created for Animal Health Trust and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Commissions and Installations
JOEL undertakes commissions including:
- Portraits of animals and people
- Design and installation of water features
- Sculpture installations for public and private venues
Based in Leicestershire, JOEL’s work has taken her across the UK and overseas to meet clients and exhibit her sculptures.
